I’ve been getting my oil changed at Oil Buddy in Mesa for quite awhile and they never disappoint. The staff are very friendly and offer suggestions that may improve my high mileage vehicle to perform better and drive smoothly… They are very efficient, professional, and provide a cold bottle of water, along with a big fan that blows cool air to keep me cool while I sit in my ride during my visit.

They are always so nice here. Never feel like they are trying to up charge me because I’m a woman. It’s the only place I use.
- Amanda M., Google review
Last oil change they noticed my car shaking and motor mount was cracked. I just fixed it and it stabilized my car. They saved me thousands if I hadn’t replaced it and it’s driving better now!!!

Serving Mesa's Chevy Drivers
Chevrolet oil changes keep our Mesa bay busy from the moment we open at 8am. The Silverado is one of the most common trucks in the East Valley, and we see them all: work trucks headed to job sites in Eastmark and around Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, weekend rigs towing boats up the Bush Highway to Saguaro Lake and Canyon Lake, and family Tahoes and Traverses loaded up for a Cubs spring training game at Sloan Park.
We’re at Country Club and Guadalupe in West Mesa, about a mile south of the US-60 Country Club exit and just east of Dobson Ranch. Country Club turns into Arizona Avenue as you head into Chandler, which is why so many of our Chevy regulars come from Chandler and Gilbert too. Whether you’re coming from Downtown Mesa near the Mesa Arizona Temple, from North Mesa by Riverview, or from East Mesa near Superstition Springs and Falcon Field, it’s an easy drive.
Mesa summers are hard on Chevy engines. In 2024, the Phoenix area had a record 113 consecutive days at 100 degrees or hotter, and GM counts heat, towing, and stop-and-go driving as severe conditions. Add a trailer behind a Silverado on the Beeline or an Equinox idling in a school pickup line in July, and your oil works a lot harder than the Oil Life Monitor’s “normal” assumptions. We use oil that meets GM’s dexos1 spec and can help you build a change schedule that fits how you actually drive.
And yes, the visit is better than you’d expect. Customers tell us they love our women technicians, the no-pressure straight talk, the clean windows, the free air freshener, and the cold water and fan on hot summer days.
If you drive a Duramax diesel Silverado HD or a Colorado diesel, head to our dedicated Diesel Oil Change page. Those engines use different oil specs, capacities, and filters. This page covers gas-engine Chevrolets.
What's Included in a Chevrolet Oil Change
An oil change shouldn’t just mean draining old oil and sending you down the road
Fluids & Filter
- Fresh engine oil that meets GM's dexos1 specification, in the viscosity your Chevy calls for (synthetic blend, full synthetic, high mileage, or Liqui Moly premium synthetic) - New OEM-equivalent oil filter - Top-off of key fluids
Inspection & Reset
- Multi-point safety check - Air filter inspection (we show you the filter, and if it's still good, we leave it) - Tire pressure check - Oil Life Monitor reset
Documentation
- Every service reported to CARFAX(TM), so your Chevy's maintenance history is documented for warranty, recall, and resale purposes
Our Chevrolet Oil Change Process
Step 1 – Pull in. No appointment needed.
Step 2 – Stay in your Chevy with the A/C on while our technicians get to work.
Step 3 – We drain the old oil, install a new filter, and refill with dexos1-spec oil in the right viscosity for your engine, including 0W-40 for 6.2L V8 trucks that have had GM’s recall oil change.
Step 4 – We check your air filter, tire pressure, and fluids, and run a multi-point safety inspection.
Step 5 – We reset your Oil Life Monitor to 100% and you’re back on the road, usually in about 15 minutes.
What Does a Chevrolet Oil Change Cost?
Pricing depends on your Chevy’s oil capacity and the oil you choose. A compact Trax uses about 4 quarts, while a V8 Silverado or Tahoe takes noticeably more, so truck and SUV oil changes run a bit higher. Call us at (480) 892-4130 with your year, model, and engine, and we’ll give you a price before you pull in. Military members, medical workers, and first responders get 10% off.
Why Choose Oil Buddy
1. You never leave your truck or car. Pull in, stay cool, and be back on the road in about 15 minutes.
2. Oil that meets GM's dexos1 spec in the right viscosity, including the 0W-40 required after the 6.2L V8 recall remedy.
3. A team people rave about. Our women technicians are called out again and again in reviews for being knowledgeable, honest, and quick. One customer said she's never felt upcharged "because I'm a woman."
4. No upsell. We tell you what your Chevy needs and what it doesn't.
5. We actually look. Customers have told us we caught a cracked motor mount and flagged problems before they turned into big repair bills.
6. The little things: free air freshener, clean windows, tire pressure check, and cold water and a fan on hot days.
7. CARFAX(TM) reporting and 15+ years locally owned in Mesa, with a 4.9-star rating from 1,100+ Google reviews.

FAQs
It depends on your Chevy’s oil capacity and the oil you choose. Trucks and V8 SUVs take more oil than a Trax or Equinox. Call us at (480) 892-4130 with your year, model, and engine and we’ll quote you a price before you pull in.
GM requires oil that meets its dexos1 Gen 3 specification for gasoline engines, and it’s backward compatible with older Chevys too. Most late-model Chevys, including the Silverado 5.3L, Equinox, Trax, and Traverse, call for 0W-20, while some older or performance models use 5W-30 or other grades. We confirm the right oil for your exact engine before we start.
Yes. GM’s recall on 2021-2024 Silverado 1500, Tahoe, and Suburban models with the 6.2L V8 (L87) switched those engines from 0W-20 to 0W-40 oil, with a new oil fill cap. If your truck has had the recall done, it needs 0W-40 every time. Let us know when you pull in, and we’ll check the fill cap and use the correct oil.
Yes. We reset your Oil Life Monitor to 100% with every oil change. Note that GM recommends changing your oil at least once a year even if the monitor hasn’t triggered “Change Engine Oil Soon” yet.
Your Oil Life Monitor tracks engine conditions and is the best guide. Mesa’s extreme heat, towing, and short stop-and-go trips count as severe driving, so expect it to call for service sooner in summer. If you tow a boat or trailer regularly, don’t stretch it.
No. Under the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a dealership can’t void your Chevy’s factory warranty because routine maintenance was done somewhere else, as long as oil that meets GM’s spec is used. We report every service to CARFAX(TM) so you have the records.
Yes, through our dedicated Diesel Oil Change service. Diesel engines need different oil specs, capacities, and filters, so we keep that on its own page with all the details.
Yes. Our bay fits everything from a low-slung Corvette or Camaro to a lifted Silverado or a full-size Suburban.

Yes. We’re on Country Club Drive near the Gilbert and Chandler borders, so we see Chevy drivers from all three cities every day.
