Where to Get a Jeep Oil Change in Mesa
Oil Buddy sits at Country Club Drive and Guadalupe Road, about a mile south of the US-60 Country Club exit. That puts us right on the way for Jeep drivers all over the East Valley.
Mesa is Jeep country. The Tonto National Forest starts right at the city’s edge. Bulldog Canyon, just north of Usery Mountain, has about 20 miles of Jeep routes through the Goldfield Mountains (you’ll need a Tonto OHV permit). Head up Bush Highway and you’ll find the Salt River and Rolls Road out toward Four Peaks. And the Apache Trail starts just past the Superstition Mountains.
That means a lot of Jeeps come to us covered in red dirt. We see Wranglers and Gladiators from North Mesa and Northgrove on their way back from the trails, Grand Cherokees from Las Sendas and Red Mountain Ranch, and Compasses and Cherokees from families in Eastmark, Parkwood Ranch, and near Superstition Springs Center.
We’re also a quick hop from Dobson Ranch, and Country Club turns into Arizona Avenue as you head south. So plenty of our Jeep regulars come from Chandler and Gilbert too.
Air down, air up, then pull in. We’ll handle the oil.
Oil Changes for Every Popular Jeep Model
We change the oil on most gas-powered Jeeps, including:
Jeep Wrangler Oil Change
From a stock Sport to a lifted Rubicon, Wranglers fit in our bay. We use the oil your engine calls for, whether it's the 3.6L V6 or the 2.0L turbo.
Jeep Wrangler 4xe Oil Change
It's a plug-in hybrid, but it still has a gas engine, and that engine still needs oil changes. We've got you.
Jeep Gladiator Oil Change
Towing a trailer to the lake or hauling gear to camp? Stay in the cab while we work.
Jeep Grand Cherokee Oil Change
One of the most-searched Jeeps for oil changes. Bring in your Grand Cherokee or Grand Cherokee L and skip the dealer lounge.

Compact SUV, quick visit. Most Compass oil changes are done in about 15 minutes.

Not sure which oil your Jeep needs?
Tell us your year, model, and engine. We’ll check the right oil before we start. No guessing.
What's Included in Your Jeep Oil Change?
A Jeep oil change should be more than just new oil. Here’s what you get:
The Right Engine Oil
We fill your engine with oil that meets your Jeep's factory spec, in the right viscosity. Full synthetic and Liqui Moly premium options are available.
New Oil Filter
Every oil change comes with a new filter, so clean oil isn't running through an old, dirty one.
Multi-Point Safety Check
We look for easy-to-miss problems while your Jeep is in the bay, and we tell you what we see.
Air Filter Check
Trail dust and monsoon haboobs clog air filters fast. We pull yours and show it to you. If it's still good, we tell you so.
Oil Change Indicator Reset
We reset your Jeep's oil life back to 100% so your dash stops telling you it's due.
CARFAX Service Reporting
Every visit is reported to CARFAX(TM), so your Jeep has a clean, documented service history for warranty and resale.
What Oil Does My Jeep Need, and How Often?
What oil: Most Jeeps with the 3.6L Pentastar V6, including many Wranglers, Gladiators, and Grand Cherokees, call for 0W-20 full synthetic that meets FCA’s MS-6395 standard. Turbo four-cylinder engines and HEMI V8s can call for different oil. Older Jeeps may use 5W-20 or 5W-30. We check your exact engine before we start.
How often: Your Jeep has an oil change indicator that tracks how you drive, not just how far. When it says your oil change is due, it’s time. Many Jeep owner’s manuals also say not to go past 10,000 miles or 12 months, even if the indicator hasn’t come on yet.
Why Mesa Jeeps need it sooner: Jeep’s own manuals say to change oil more often if you drive off-road, in dust, in extreme heat, or while towing. Mesa Jeeps check every one of those boxes. In 2024, the Phoenix area hit 100 degrees or hotter for 113 days in a row. Add a day crawling Bulldog Canyon or towing a boat to the Salt River, and your oil works much harder than “normal.” Check your owner’s manual for the severe-service schedule, and don’t stretch it after a dusty weekend.
Indicator came on? Pull in. No appointment needed.
Jeep Dealership Oil Change vs. Oil Buddy
A lot of Jeep owners think they have to go to the dealer for oil changes. You don’t.
The Federal Trade Commission says you do not have to use a dealership for routine maintenance to keep your warranty. You just need to use the right oil and parts and keep your records. We report every visit to CARFAX(TM), so your records are taken care of.

How Much Is a Jeep Oil Change in Mesa?
The price of a Jeep oil change depends on:
- Your Jeep model and year
- Your engine (4-cylinder, V6, or V8)
- The oil spec your engine needs
- How much oil your engine holds
- The oil you pick (full synthetic or Liqui Moly)
- Your filter
For a price on your exact Jeep, call (480) 892-4130 or just stop by. We’d rather give you a real number for your Jeep than post a price that might not fit your engine. Military members, medical workers, and first responders get 10% off.
Jeep Oil Change FAQs
It depends on your Jeep’s model, engine, and oil. A Compass and a V8 Grand Cherokee don’t take the same amount of oil. Call (480) 892-4130 for a price on your exact Jeep.
No. The FTC says routine maintenance doesn’t have to be done at the dealer to keep your warranty. Use the right oil, follow Jeep’s schedule, and keep records. We report every visit to CARFAX(TM).
No. Under the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a dealer can’t void your warranty just because your oil was changed somewhere else, as long as the right oil is used.
Most Wranglers with the 3.6L V6 take 0W-20 full synthetic that meets FCA’s MS-6395 standard. The 2.0L turbo and 392 V8 can call for different oil. We check your exact engine before we start.
Follow your oil change indicator, and many Jeep manuals say not to go past 10,000 miles or 12 months. Off-roading, dust, towing, and Mesa’s heat all count as severe driving, so plan on coming in sooner if that’s how you drive.
If you’ve been on dusty trails like Bulldog Canyon or Rolls Road, it’s a good idea to check your oil and air filter. Jeep’s manuals call for more frequent oil changes when you drive in dusty, off-road conditions.
